The Opportunity
The Output Processing Operator is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant production of checks, statements, and special‑handling mail through a combination of high‑speed equipment operation and computer‑based workflows across United States–based operations. Guided by our purpose — always with you, building a more confident future — and our New Frontier strategy focused on stronger growth, attractive returns, and all‑weather performance, this role plays a critical part in delivering reliable financial communications to our customers.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a production‑driven environment where accuracy, technical skill, and attention to detail directly impact customer trust and operational success. The role offers hands‑on engagement with advanced mailing and printing technology, exposure to regulated workflows, and the chance to contribute to a collaborative, service‑oriented team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities by operating high‑speed inserters, MICR printers, folders, copiers, and related output equipment to meet production and service commitments.
- Create accurate and compliant mailings by processing checks, statements, and special‑handling jobs including checkwriting, cancellations, matching, notarizing, and mass certified mail.
- Oversee machine performance by loading materials, monitoring output quality, performing routine maintenance, and making operational adjustments as needed.
- Manage computer‑based workflows by retrieving jobs, verifying data, processing files, resolving issues, and maintaining precise electronic logs and documentation.
- Develop quality assurance practices by conducting detailed QA checks, ensuring exact piece counts, and maintaining USPS‑compliant presort and mailing documentation.
- Coordinate with team members and internal partners by communicating job status, escalating issues, supporting training efforts, and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to follow regulated procedures and internal controls in a production or operational setting.
- Experience using computer systems and production applications to process files, track inventory, and complete operational documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage counts, reconciliation records, and compliance documentation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and collaborate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in a production, print, mailing, or light industrial environment.
- Experience working with high‑speed production or mailing equipment and related workflows.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability in an operational setting.
- Proven reliability, accountability, and commitment to quality and customer service.
