The successful Analyst will be a member of the Public Fixed Income (PFI) & Active Equity Client Service Operations team within MetLife Investment Management (MIM), MetLife, Inc.’s institutional investment management business. MIM provides investment management services primarily to institutional clients across a broad range of asset classes.

 

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to client onboarding and offboarding, operational change management, and client reporting within a global asset management organization. The Analyst will work closely with internal partners and external clients and must be comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a client‑centric mindset, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and help lead client onboarding and offboarding for Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Fund Investors across Public Fixed Income and Active Equity products. 
  • Assist in managing client‑driven change initiatives, including investment guideline updates, strategy modifications, and custody transitions. 
  • Respond to day‑to‑day operational client inquiries and ensure timely, accurate resolution. 
  • Act as a client advocate by understanding operational requirements and contributing to positive and consistent client experience. 
  • Prepare, review, and deliver accurate client reports within established deadlines. 
  • Participate in Operational Due Diligence, client questionnaires, and client‑led audits. 
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives focused on operational efficiency, process improvements, and best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. 
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services or Investment Management industry, preferably with exposure to Public Fixed Income.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and projects. 
  • Willingness to support business leaders on ad‑hoc operational initiatives as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting client onboarding and change management for SMAs and fund vehicles (including CITs and LPs) is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with advanced Excel functions and Power BI is a plus. 
  • Experience with Aladdin, Salesforce, and/or client reporting platforms is preferred.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
