The Opportunity 

The Funds Transfer Analyst is an entry level position in Treasury Operations that supports the oversight and management of payment transactions executed in Kyriba. The successful candidate will have a knowledge of structured payment formats including NACHA, SWIFT, XML, and experience with banking platforms. The Funds Transfer Analyst is expected to collaborate closely with business partners across all functions at MetLife and with external business partners to resolve payment issues and ensure compliance with the MetLife EFT Policy and any additional regulatory compliance standards.

 

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • Perform timely and accurate processing of electronic funds transfers in Kyriba and various banking applications
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the MetLife Treasury Management System, Swift, Swift Service Bureau and imported batch feeds to analyze and lead in the resolution of problems
  • Understand and instruct line of business users on global payment requirements of foreign currency spot trades
  • Serve as a conduit for the resolution of EFT payments which are unable to be processed or settled successfully
  • Analyze various Funds Transfer Unit control reports and reconciliations, communicate and document results for Corporate Treasury management
  • Communicate effectively with LOB and financial institution contacts at all levels
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and prepare testing result documentation of scheduled Corporate Treasury system upgrades and enhancements
  • Complete Funds Transfer Unit due diligence exercises as required, including but not limited to updating policies, procedures and operating manuals for the Unit
  • Understand the business continuity plan to ensure plan expectations are achieved

  • Assertive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict time constraints; flexible in adjusting to changing demands
  • Highly proficient in use of computerized financial systems and ability to understand the business implications in the planning and implementation of process modifications.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and guide others productively through challenges
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain a high degree of interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels
  • Excellent organization skills with high attention to detail
  • Requires a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion in contact with banking partners

 

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Knowledge of Kyriba, SWIFT, Peoplesoft and other finance systems is a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with Azure Data Studio

 

The expected salary range for this position is $53,000 - $70,700. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
