Role Value Proposition:

The Global Technology Strategy & Planning team is a part of the Global Technology Strategy & Operations (GTSO) organization as a part of the Global Technology (GT) organization in Global Technology & Operations (GTO).   They are responsible for delivering a differentiated experience through interactions grounded in trust and empathy, reinforced by a continuous improvement in mindset and operational excellence.

 

When you join the Global Technology Strategy & Planning team, you join a team that’s driving transformational change across the Global Technology CIO organizations. 

 

This dynamic position provides the opportunity to learn all aspects of the supported CIO organization. This role will be engaged in strategic planning, goal setting/performance insights, facilitation of management routines, coordination and drafting of executive presentations, and project management of key programs and initiatives, as appropriate. The role requires frequent interaction with senior management within the supported CIO organization and across GT.  This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to convey information succinctly, and the ability to multitask and operate under fixed deadlines. It is also critical that the individual takes initiative and is able to operate with a high degree of independence, has a desire to lead and influence others, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where every contribution is respected and every perspective is heard.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 Strategic Leadership:

  • Support and provide strategic advice to the CIO, Finance and Risk Management (FRM) Technology, participate in meetings with senior leaders to provide strategic advice, guide, and oversee strategically important initiatives
  • Work strategically and develop ongoing relationships with a wide cross-functional team of partners/stakeholders to ensure the GT and FRM Tech objectives and goals are achieved, including coordinating activities across multiple geographies where needed

 

 CIO Support:

  • Provide Chief of Staff support for FRM, including facilitation of Town Halls, Leadership offsite meetings, management routines, vendor interactions, and schedules for all key business activities across the organization
  • Facilitate decision-making by preparing briefing materials, synthesizing complex information for executives, and overseeing organizational communications

 

 Operational Excellence:

  • Drive strategic planning cycles, including regular reviews and performance metrics reporting
  • Maintain a commercial mindset with a pulse on evolving business and industry trends
  • Collect and assemble data and information from global sources; summarize and compile for senior leaders, and enable the teams to prioritize for impact
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and associates to drive key initiatives, ensure results, and prioritize tasks and projects

 

 Culture & Talent Enablement:

  • Support talent programs, workforce management, and onboarding for strategic teams
  • Drive culture enablement initiatives and employee engagement programs like MyVoice

  • Reports to: AVP, Technology Strategy and Planning
  • Matrix Reporting: SVP Finance and Risk Management Technology

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 7-10 years of experience, preferably a mix of management consulting, financial services, and/or technology.
  • Demonstrated experience working in technology with a passion for emerging technologies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • High degree of organizational and structured operating skills; able to prioritize appropriately and keep track of multiple concurrent projects and deliverables
  • Judgment to accurately assess what can be managed directly, what needs to be delegated, and what needs to be escalated; tactical competency to execute accordingly
  • Resourcefulness and ability to creatively and independently get work done through influence and relationships
  • Execution orientation, attention to detail, and bias for action
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and delivery practices
  • High degree of business and financial acumen, combined with analytical mindset, practical approach, and ability to make recommendations based on available information
  • Strong synthesis and learning agility; connects dots and thinks strategically about business planning, governance, and solutions
  • Organizational intelligence: able to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Ability to foster and drive organizational change through process optimization, change leadership, and the development of a strong network of partners
  • Excellent presentation, written, oral, and relationship-building skills
  • BA/ BS degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred

      

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated success in executing and mobilizing large organizations around strategic initiatives within a global company
  • Solutions-oriented; perceives and either resolves or escalates risks or obstacles as appropriate

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
