The Client Service Consultant within RIS Life Products organization is responsible for project management of new case implementation and for providing subject matter expertise for the ongoing service and support of in-force clients. Critical to this role is the individual's ability to successfully influence and lead within a matrix organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful implementation of 1) Private Placement Variable Life plans in support of the Corporate-Owned and Bank-Owned Life Insurance marketplace and 2) Post Retirement Benefits (PRB) Group Term Life benefit plans through establishing and enhancing relationships with MetLife group operations, contract teams, product, legal, tax, client service, underwriting and fund management.
- Business liaison to MetLife's group operations team in support of MetLife's PRB business.
- Respond to basic research requests on the in-force block of business, including contract audits, data reconciliation, and requests from clients, brokers and internal constituents.
- Partner with internal compliance to ensure that documents and procedures conform with regulatory compliance (i.e. SEC, FINRA, and State Insurance Regulators).
- Support product development and enterprise initiatives.
- Provide subject matter expertise related to regulatory and state requirements.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree of equivalent experience
- 5+ years contracts experience for group and/or individual, life and/or annuity business
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently to handle multiple tasks, prioritize
- Demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally to achieve goals
- Strong analytical, verbal and writing skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with strong Excel skills, i.e., mail merges, pivot tables, vlook ups, etc.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Corporate-Owned Life Insurance and Group Life Insurance
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of SharePoint
