The Team You Will Join

The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Execution team you will join is focused on executing acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate development initiatives in support of Enterprise strategic objectives. The team consists of purpose-driven professionals who can navigate both US and international initiatives.


The Opportunity

The Associate Manager, M&A Execution (GG11) is responsible for the coordination and delivery of large-scale business transformation projects across the enterprise. This role works under general guidance to ensure program governance, continuity, and stakeholder alignment. The Associate Manager will contribute to cross-functional projects that impact business and operational strategies. As MetLife continues to grow strategically, M&A excellence is critical to protecting our interests from a financial and risk perspective.


Transaction Support

  • Coordinate multiple workstreams or moderately complex programs aligned to business transformation goals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project documentation, tracking, and escalation of issues.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Maintain dashboards, financial trackers, and reporting tools for transformation initiatives.
  • Perform moderately complex research and contribute to recommendations that support program delivery.
     Prepare executive-level materials in support of program updates and planning sessions.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and partners to align milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.


Strategy and Planning Support

  • Support strategic planning activities by preparing materials and coordinating deliverables that inform leadership decisions related to enterprise M&A and transformation initiatives.

 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Management Consulting and/or M&A Experience or 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across levels and functions.
  • Ability to create polished, leadership-ready materials with clear, concise messaging.
  • Strong Organizational Skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foundational understanding of program governance and business operations.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize data into useful insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate information and support effective planning, risk identification, and decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability for delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Able to navigate evolving priorities and independently progress work while leveraging input from others as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Management consulting experience strongly preferred
  • BA / BS Degree
  • 6+ years’ experience encompassing business, finance, and technology
  • 6+ years’ experience managing people and/or projects
  • Proficient in Excel and understanding of data models
  • Proficient in PowerPoint

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
