Job Scope


The IT Infrastructure Head leads the strategy and operations for MetLife BD’s technology backbone, covering data centers, cloud platforms and network architecture. This role ensures system availability, security compliance and disaster recovery readiness, while managing infrastructure projects and vendor relationships. It also involves budget planning, governance and collaboration with global and local leadership to align infrastructure capabilities with business objectives and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Setting the infrastructure strategy across data centers, cloud and networks
  • Overseeing delivery of infrastructure projects and service improvements
  • Managing governance frameworks that ensure system availability and reliability by monitoring performance, managing capacity and supporting seamless operations
  • Leading Disaster Recovery and BCP operations
  • Managing vendors and ensuring support, cost negotiation and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Managing the annual IT infrastructure budget, justifying funding for new projects and purchases.
  • Ensuring compliance with IT security, audit and regulatory requirements
  • Partnering with CIO, CTO and Local Business heads to support key initiatives
  • Managing team performance through regular reviews, coaching and development initiatives
  • Leading incident response efforts for major technical issues to minimize service interruptions


Academic Qualification


  • BSC / MSC in computer science or information technology from a well-reputed university.


Relevant Experience


  • Over 10 years of technical expertise in Data Center, Network and Cloud Management. 
  • Experience working within a matrix management structure, with added value from familiarity in managing offshore data centers.


Functional Competencies


  • Proficiency in Advanced Communication in working with Global & Local Leadership Team
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience on Core network management (eg- VPN, IPSEC, MPLS, Firewall)
  • Extensive expertise on virtualization, storage, backup & disaster recovery management
  • Expertise in Data Center & Cloud environment management
  • Experience in Network security, identity and access management, encryption, vulnerability assessment.
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to define IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
