The Team You Will Join 

The MetLife Product Team operates across SK, CZ, BG, HU, and UA markets. It is divided into three sub-teams: pricing, value proposition, and Group products. The pricing and value proposition sub-teams are responsible for developing competitive insurance pricing strategies that align with sustainability goals and ensure customer satisfaction. The Group product sub team manages Credit Life and Employee Benefits Insurance Business developing products suitable for customers of group institutions such as banks, financial institutions, and employers.

The Employee Benefits Underwriter position at MetLife is crucial for developing competitive and sustainable insurance pricing strategies that support MetLife's mission of building a more confident future for its Group customers. By ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of group institutions such as employers and associations, this role directly contributes to enhancing customer satisfaction and upholding our core values of empathy and purpose.

The Employee Benefits Underwriter will be responsible for preparing pricing for new quotes and renewals and supporting the implementation of products. By participating in renewal processes, understanding experience data, and building key assumptions, the role ensures the accuracy and relevance of our pricing models. Collaboration is a significant aspect of this position, as it involves close communication with the sales team, regional teams, and various stakeholders, fostering an environment where every contribution is valued and every perspective is heard.
 
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities):
  • Prepare the pricing for new quotes or renewal of existing offers, making sure the solution meets the customer needs;
  • Be in touch with the sales team to assure that the product quoted is aligned with customer need of standard or non standard risk if requested;
  • Be part of the renewal processes of current portfolio, understanding the experience, analysing the assumptions used in pricing & offer revalidation, as needed;
  • Offer solutions for different requests coming from current partners, such as updates in current offer (e.g. additional packages, benefits etc.) or administrative issues that require Product support;
  • Supporting the pricing strategy for Employee Benefits business;
  • Keep a close relationship with regional team for various non standard cases;
  • Provide competitive market information;
  • Simplify the current processes and increase efficiency;
  • Support documentation and improvement of procedures and flows currently in place related with Employee Benefits Line of Business;
  • Build approval documentations for new product initiatives following the EB MetLife approval process, interacting with departments in a collaborative way;
  • Develop and apply deep understanding of full cycle in pricing and review;
  • Initiate and support value proposition updates of basic employee benefit coverages through approved MetLife governance process for new product development.

 What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills):

  • Bachelor degree in Economics or humanities; 
  • Experience in life insurance is an asset;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Strong computer skills in all MS packages;
  • Very good communication skills;

  • Very good time management and stress management of tight deadlines;

  • Attention to detail and digital mindset;

  • Ability to make good and fast decisions in a fast-paced environment;

  • Client orientation.
