The MetLife Corporate Technology (CT) organization is evolving to enable MetLife’s New Frontier strategy. With a strong vision in place, we are a global function focused on driving digital technology strategies for key corporate functions within MetLife including, Finance, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Legal, Human Resources, Employee Experience, Risk, Treasury, Audit and Compliance. As part of Tech Talent Transformation (T3) agenda, MetLife is establishing a Technology Center in India. This technology center will perform as an integrated organization between onshore, offshore, and strategic vendor partners in an Agile delivery model.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to spearhead our Azure cloud adoption and transformation initiatives. This role combines technical leadership with cultural change management, driving engineering excellence while transforming our infrastructure and development practices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can architect solutions, mentor teams, and establish sustainable engineering practices that scale with our growing organization.

He/she should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.

Key Responsibilities

 AI Platform Capability Development: Design, develop, and manage scalable enterprise AI capabilities that support the AI platform.

 Automation & MLOps: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML models, ensuring automated testing, versioning, deployment, and monitoring in production environments.

 Lead the strategic migration of on-premises applications and services to Microsoft Azure 

 Develop comprehensive cloud adoption roadmaps and transformation strategies to manage cluster configurations, monitor job performance and ensure high availability, performance and security of Azure-based solutions. 

 Establish and evangelize modern software development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and code quality standards 

 Design and implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and related tools

 Mentor and coach engineering teams on cloud technologies, modern development practices, and technical decision-making 

 Foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence

 

Education:-

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering or related field
