We are looking for a Vendor Relations Consultant to join our GTO Business Controls team in the Vendor Management Office (VMO). This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team that, through collaborative work and cross-functional integration, aims for excellence in vendor governance, operational efficiency, and compliance.

The Team You Will Join

The focus of the VMO team is to implement and support global risk and control activities to prevent financial, regulatory, and reputational impacts. Our vision is to drive robust vendor management practices by establishing a control environment that manages operational, financial, and compliance risks, consistently delivering service excellence and managing costs.

Governance: Define and implement a uniform vendor governance and oversight model.

Value: Create value through sourcing initiatives, optimized vendor networks, and continuous process improvement.

Contract Management: Drive vendor adherence to contract terms that align with MetLife business standards.

What You Will Do in This Role:

Act as a liaison between MetLife Global Technology & Operations and strategic vendors contracted to serve the company in various capacities.

Drive solutions and resolve issues related to external vendors while managing the needs of various internal stakeholders.

Ensure vendor contractual obligations are met and manage dependencies for key MetLife projects.

Perform ongoing monitoring of service levels and operational metrics to ensure vendors meet business needs.

Provide vendor oversight including performance management, business reviews, contract management, and issue escalation.

Support new outsourcing initiatives and address vendor risk issues.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:

        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Proven related business experience and leading or supporting key projects.

Strong customer service skills and a collaborative spirit.

Problem-solving mindset with independent judgment, strategic thinking, and adaptability.

Proficiency in English (Portuguese is a plus!).

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

        Experience in vendor management.

Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work across a matrix environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands in a continuously changing environment.

These are the benefits we offer…

        Additional vacation days

        Day off on your birthday

        Early leave on Fridays

        Annual performance bonus

        Meal card
