The Team You Will Join 

Summary: The Team is part of Group Life Operations, and is located in Oriskany, NY.  The Technical Liaison provides information and help resolve user problems regarding department systems. Acts as liaisons between the business and IT personnel to support the unit’s technology needs; represent user area in all system enhancements and design activities. Review user requests, conduct data gathering interviews, document business specifications, and manage technology projects until completion. Are knowledgeable in business processes and systems infrastructure rather than applied technology.


The Opportunity:

  • The Technical Liaison core duties and responsibilities
  • Oversees all aspects of small projects and/or phases of larger projects.
  • Determines general requirements to address moderately complex business needs. 
  • Serves as a liaison between the business and the IT area, translating business needs into application software requirements.
  • Manages critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership.
  • Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Runs or assists with project meetings.
  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address business needs and analyses and designs solutions.
  • Provides information to end users to help resolve problems regarding assigned systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Success in this role requires:  

  • IT Background
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Time Management and organization Skills
  • Coordinating requirements with IT; conducting testing for enhancements/releases
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new technology tools
  • Initiative-driven with a desire to see all requests through to completion
  • Ability to manage projects and multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines and produces results
  • High School Diploma

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of related work experience

The salary range for applicants for this position is $52,000 - $69,300.
