Role Value Proposition:

The Sr. PMO Consultant serves an integral part managing the $550M Global Technology portfolio. The incumbent will play a lead role in guiding the team in financial management, portfolio set up, monthly reporting, and forecasting.  The Sr. PMO Consultant will interact with a large, diverse program team including senior management and will report out on any significant changes within the portfolio(s). Establishes, implements, maintains, and monitors processes to ensure alignment with industry best practices as it relates to portfolio financials.  Drives improvements in planning, forecasting, and reporting to help deliver on financial commitments to the enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight, analysis, reporting coordination and facilitation of multiple, complex portfolios and/or projects. Partner with application development teams to complete monthly forecasts, review actuals, and submit month accruals. Ensure all financial and operational inputs are appropriately accounted for in the proper periods and that budgets/forecasts reflect the most accurate information available.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with GTO Finance, US Application Development teams, Global PMO leads to communicate financial reporting deliverables and drive the completion and consolidation for Global Technology.
  • Evaluates US Application development portfolio and projects, communicates cost drivers to the business, highlights risks and opportunities, and assists in initiatives to close gaps to financial plan.
  • Serves as financial reporting lead for PPM team by disseminating information, coordinating variance explanations, and monitoring progress for initiatives.
  • Participates on teams and provides input to decisions regarding portfolio governance, best practices and tool utilization. 

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required: 

  • 6+ years of experience as financial or portfolio analyst, IT experience a plus.
  • Portfolio Management experience is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills along with strong financial systems and business application knowledge
  • Excellent data organization, detailed analytical and interpretation skills.
  • Adept at problem solving, juggling competing priorities, delivering on time results, honoring commitments, and demonstrating ownership / accountability for financial performance.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly effective communication standards through oral, written, and presentation mediums.

 

Preferred:

  • PMP Certification.
  • Portfolio Management certification.
  • Agile Certification or experience.
  • Familiarity with Apptio configuration and report writing.

The salary range for applicants for this position is $115,000 - $135,000.
