Senior Scrum Leader

The Team You Will Join 

 

IT APMO Team consisting of Scrum Leaders and Agile Coaches, responsible for SAFe Agile Transformation and delivery. 

 

The Opportunity 

 

The Senior Scrum Leader is responsible for;

  • Instill the Agile mindset by continuous team and individual-level Agile coaching
  • Enabling the organizations new way of working, modelling behaviors to support the organizations transformation to a new way of working and actively creating and maintaining the culture within the team based on Agile leadership behaviors.
  • Working with teams to embed and reinforce practices and behaviors by facilitating sprint planning, stand ups, retrospective and other agile ceremonies and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Tracking team output and creating burn-down charts to measure team output over time. Report progress against original sprint targets with explanations of differences.
  • Work with the Head of PMO to implement an appropriate Agile development approach across all our development teams.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove them by finding the appropriate personnel.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
  • Work with the PO and the team to ensure that the sprint content is always tailored to customer needs.
  • Assist the PO in facilitating getting sprint work done.
  • Assist the PO with internal and external communication, improving transparency
  • Supporting the PO in maintaining the product backlog.
  • Ensuring that processes and practices are followed 
  • Coordinate sprint retrospectives. 
  • Report on performance of actual effort against estimates for Sprint items.
  • Assessing the level of maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Build a trusting environment where problems can be raised with the emphasis of solving and root cause.
  • Adhere to the Company values at all times and encourage others to demonstrate these.
  • Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/regulations at all times.
  • Responsibility for maintaining department and product development and groups’ risk 

 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  •  Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree preferably in Engineering or Business,
  • Senior Scrum Master experience in a technology organization
  • Excellent relationship management, strong influence and communication skills
  • Experience on organizing & running PI planning
  • Experience in coaching & developing colleges
  • Successful experience on critical/complex product delivery
  • Experience supporting multiple Scrum Teams
  • Multiple industry recognised Scrum Master/Scaled Agile qualifications (Scrum.Org, Scrum.Inc, Agile Alliance, SAFe etc)


 What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

  • Suggested 2 years of experience in [Agile/Scrum] 
  • [Preferably SAFe SM certificate]
