Description and Requirements

Principal Architect

  • Establishes and prioritizes architecture strategies to enable business strategies completion by providing future state portfolio views and ensuring local portfolios are following the defined and approved patterns. 

  • Responsible for the development, ownership and communication of target architecture, solution architecture design and all architecture deliverables 

  • Directs multiple, complex or large-scale matrixed team projects  

  • Partnering and Leading with Tech Transformation, Cloud Enablement and regional and global architecture teams the patterns adoption through secure, reliable, cost-efficient and scalable architectures. 

  • Representing Mexico architecture at LatAm ARB, Global ARB and other committees when required. 

  • Leads creation, analysis and review of solution architecture. Ensuring architecture solutions fit into and support the larger capabilities and direction of the overall product or domain, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.   

  • Leads and creates architectural specifications for the E2E solution, which include the system components, services, technologies, and design required to implement a solution under the portfolio.   

  • Leads planning and development of current and/or target state reference architecture artifacts which includes Principles Rules & Guidelines, Conceptual and Logical Domain Architectures, Domain Roadmaps 

  • Participates in Program Increment (PI) planning and Pre- and Post PI Planning, System and Solution demos and inspect & adapt events. 

  • Leads the identification of risks (business, application, technical) associated with component or application implementation for the product solution or domain. 

  • Active involvement in planning and product or domain related governance efforts. Ensuring maturity of standards are being met 

  • Identifies technical approaches and new or enhanced technical tools/methodologies/solutions for the value stream or domain. Using opportunities to reuse and intersource solutions where possible. 

  • Identifies current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect value streams or domain; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing architecture.
