Description and Requirements

The Role: 

MetLife is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer with significant expertise in Microsoft Power Platform to join our Corporate Systems Digital Innovation Solutions team. In this position, you will serve as the Lead Solution Architect within MetLife’s Power Platform Global COE team. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience and a thorough understanding of the platform's features and architecture. As the Solution Architect, you will partner with stakeholders to establish and refine guidelines and best practices for the platform. You will also review and advise teams developing solutions on the platform, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines and effective solution design. Furthermore, you will conduct proof-of-concepts to assess new capabilities, determining their value and optimal architectural configuration. This position requires a strategic outlook to support the platform’s global expansion while maintaining a robust architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide architectural guidance and best practices for Power Platform development projects. 
  • Offer technical guidance to teams developing solutions on the platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and optimized for performance.
  • Review solutions to ensure compliance with platform guidelines and effective solution design.
  • Partner with stakeholders, such as Enterprise Architecture and Compliance, to establish and refine guidelines and best practices for the platform.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts to assess new capabilities, determining their value and optimal architectural configuration.
  • Determine the best approach to architect and set up the platform, ensuring it is scalable, secured and maintainable.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates in Microsoft Power Platform, and evaluate their potential impact on the platform.
  • Be visionary, prepare for the platform's global growth, ensuring the architecture remains robust to support continuous expansion.


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture and design principles.
  • Proficiency in integrating Power Platform solutions with other systems and applications.
  • Have extensive understanding and experience with a range of technologies, such as cloud platforms, databases, security, and additional areas.
  • Proficiency in software development in various languages.
  • Knowledgeable in modern AI concepts, automation, and robotics.

Preferred Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing Power Platform products.
  • Skilled at driving discussions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements for Power Platform solutions.
  • Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines.
  • Capable of creating technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and architectural skills for designing solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, able to explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards platform strategy.
  • Self-motivated, passionate about continuous learning and challenges.

The salary range for applicants for this position is 135,000-180,000.
