Description and Requirements
Role Value Proposition:
You will support the Chief Investment Officer / Designated Person for Investment Management and will be an integral part of a team responsible for oversight of all investment management functions for both separately managed accounts and our funds.
You will attend regular meetings with portfolio managers and asset class specialists to discuss investment opportunities for separately managed accounts and will assist in the review of deal pipelines, credit papers and investment recommendations. You will play a key role in suitability assessments of investment strategies and products for clients and will help to agree risk tolerances, investment objectives and investment guidelines.
You will perform oversight of the fund products to ensure they are in line with all fund formation and governance documentation and assist with new fund launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Chief Investment Officer / Designated Person for Investment Management with day-to-day oversight and monitoring tasks; ensure that any breaches of investment strategy are escalated and resolved appropriately
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the investment strategies and products. Conduct analysis to understand key drivers of performance and portfolio positioning.
- Review and analyse reporting received from service providers (Fund Administrators, Portfolio Managers and other key service providers) and escalate reportable items to the relevant Designated Person(s), as required
- Provide oversight and contribute to improving the company’s core framework documents including policies, procedures and KRIs
- Coordinate and compile monthly/quarterly reporting for the Designated Person and the Board
- Assist with the management of projects (including fund launches) from the initiation and planning stages through execution and completion; and
- Support the business in responding to client needs on an ongoing basis.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- 5 years’ experience in financial services
- Undergraduate degree
- Detailed oriented
- Team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience in the investment management industry
- Knowledge of UCITS, AIFM and MiFID regulations and the Central Bank’s Fund Management Company Guidance (CP86) requirements
