Description and Requirements

Role Value Proposition: 

This role serves as a key member of the data security team, focusing on data protection controls. The primary focus will be supporting global data security technologies, and their daily operational workflows.  This role must have an understanding of data governance and data security concepts and be able to work well with senior data security administrators to partner on deployments and administration.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Partnering with data security technicians and business associates to discuss data security requirements, controls, and issues
  • Security administration on data-at-rest and data-in-motion protections
  • Analyzing data sets for patterns and anomalies
  • Data classification implementations
  • Data loss prevention (DLP), Data discovery/classification, Data security posture management (DSPM), and/or digital rights management (DRM) tools.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 2-3 years experience in an information/data security role or related field
  • Ability to utilize tools (like Excel or similar) to evaluate, filter, and identify patterns and recommendations from large data sets
  • Demonstrated understanding of Data Security, Data Governance, Data Classification, Data Compliance, Data Privacy, concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders at various levels of the organization to establish consensus and deliver outcomes.
  • Industry-recognized information security certifications are preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
