Role Value Proposition: 

Reporting to the Director of Business Implementation & Strategy, RIS R&D & Strategy, this position plays a key role to support profitable business growth while driving operational efficiency across Retirement Income Solutions (RIS). The role focuses on ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, and seamless execution of critical data processes that support daily operations that drive RIS strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail and proven ability to succinctly manage multi-faceted and time-sensitive data processes. The role will collaborate with multiple cross functional corporate teams including reinsurance, treasury, risk, actuarial, finance, investments, legal and will be highly visible within the organization.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Support and optimize daily data operations, validating, calculating, and ensuring succinct execution of critical data processes.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow between systems that provides timely, accurate and actionable data to make informed decisions.
• Support vendor development, ensuring a strong partnership that aligns with RIS goals & expectations to deliver a solution that ensures optimal performance and timely execution.
• Continuously strive to improve data workflows and identify opportunities for optimization to enhance overall operational efficiency. 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in: Data Science, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 3+ Years Experience in managing complex data operations across multiple systems. 
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Skilled at bridging the gap between business objectives and technical requirements. 
• Good presentation and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in Insurance or Reinsurance is a plus.
• Experience with workflow and business intelligence tools.
• Strong knowledge or ability to quickly learn, MetLife's processes and systems.
• Familiarity with financial investing in a business context
