The Team You Will Join
The Corporate Business to Business (B2B) team at MetLife in Portugal is dedicated to ensuring and maintaining profitable relationships existing Partners and identifying growth opportunities and aligning market needs with organizational strategy.
The Corporate B2B team manages complex Partners, identifying and closing new opportunities and businesses. The team sells a designed valued proposition and business case that aligns with the Partner and the growth objectives of MetLife.
The Opportunity
The Corporate Sales Executive is responsible for managing complex Corporate Partners and identifying and closing new opportunities and businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and target motivated sales professional to represent MetLife in business development, specifically our Bancassurance clients.

- Market Research & Competitor Analysis - Expert levels of innovation in market research methods or practices, competitive strategy development and the ability to influence key decisions based on their understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Negotiation & Influencing – Advanced levels of empathy and persuasion as well as creative solution building and negotiation strategy development and implementation.
- Prospecting – Expert levels of prospecting strategy development, effectively engage and influence key prospects and have the ability to mentor and train others in prospecting skills
- Goal Orientation – The ability to prioritize goals to align efforts with higher-level strategies, anticipate potential challenges and show persistence in working toward their goals.
- Customer Centricity - Involve customer centricity into daily processes, understand customer behavior better and develop strategies for personalized customer experiences
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Ensure a solid level of activity in prospecting for new Corporate business.
- Follow up and lead the negotiations of new Partnerships and Corporate agreements.
- Develop and monitor a strategic pipeline of Corporate Prospecting.
- Perform direct management of assigned accounts and new closed Partnerships.
- Strong results orientation and ensure that new business opportunities are matched to target premium volumes.
- Promote and propose events, campaigns, and other commercial initiatives that have a direct impact on business development.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- Solid knowledge of the Portuguese market for financial entities and affinities.
- Sales experience gained from working in a regulated sector (Financial Services).
- Strong relational capacity and ability to establish long-term relationships.
- Higher education.
What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
- 3 -5 of years of experience in Corporate financial business.
- Experience selling to Bancassurance clients.
- Educated in management.
- Executive training in management/sales.
- Knowledge of the legal models of regulation of the insurance distribution activity.
