The Team You Will Join 

 

The Business Support Team sit within Servicing & Operations.

 

The team is split into various functions. The agency side of the team (which is relevant to this Administration vacancy) is responsible for many key processes within the UK business, such as the onboarding of Intermediary firms to sell our various MetLife products, payment of Commissions and transferring of schemes from one intermediary firm/adviser to another.

Other functions that fall within the Business Support team are Governance & Oversight and Complaints.

 

The team is unique, in that it is the only Operational team that works across all product lines. Due to this, we have a touchpoint to all teams within the UK Business, including;

  • Claims
  • Finance
  • Legal
  • Servicing
  • Sales

 

The Opportunity

This Administrator role will see your main responsibilities focused on Administration. The administrator will be are focused on the management of IFA Agencies. As an Administrator (called a Business Support Associate at MetLife), this involves the processing of terms of business between MetLife and IFA’s, completing novation agreements and general answering of agency queries. Along with agency management, part of the Business Support Associate role is commissions focused, which involves preparation and payment of weekly / monthly payments, debt management, auditing and reconciliation and the answering of general commission queries. The Business Support Associate will also play a key role in the ongoing provision of support for the users of the MetLife eCommerce platform. The Business Support Associate will work closely with the SME to work as an effective support team going forward. As a Business Support Associate there will be some requirement to call our customers, in support of ongoing queries.

 

Business Support Associate key relationships: Customer Servicing Teams, Operations, Finance, Sales, IFA’s, IT, 3rd party vendors/suppliers.    


How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • Processing of Terms of Business Agreements between IFA's and MetLife
  • Keying details onto agency management system
  • Checking and understanding the FCA register
  • Processing of bulk transfers of policies from one IFA to another IFA
  • Developing a relationship with the Customer Servicing Teams, Sales Teams, Regional Operations Managers, IFA's as well as with legal and compliance
  • Day to day organization of agency management tasks
  • Dealing with escalated issues
  • Sending daily TNPS reports to new business customers
  • Sending daily unpaid reports to individual firms
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required


What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Relevant work experience gained in a customer centric organization, where you have dealt with business customers within an Office environment 
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Educated to at least GCSE level in both Math & English
  • Strong team work ethics as well as being able to work individually
  • Flexible approach & attitude
  • Able to use own initiative and work well under pressure, prioritizing workload and tasks
  • Excellent planning / organizational skills
  • Good MS Excel knowledge & IT literate
  • Strong numerical and analysis skills
  • Good communication, and organizational skills

  • Financial Services experience
  • Natural ability to convey complex information to a wide variety of people with various levels of understanding both in writing and verbally
