This role will provide exemplary customer service by managing total absence claims in a timely and accurate fashion.

Location: Virtual, but must be commutable to Oriskany, NY - TRAINING IS IN PERSON. 


Key Responsibilities:  


·      Handle, review, and administer American with Disability Acts (ADA) claims along with Standalone Federal Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims.  The Claim Specialist will review guidelines and follow workflow procedures and evaluate against appropriate leave plans and make initial claim decisions on these types of leave.

·      Complete eligibility decisions during intake call, gather pertinent data when necessary, from employee or other supporting systems as well as perform leave follow-ups as required, including recertification of health condition, intermittent claim tracking, RTW confirmation, etc.

·      Update systems to accurately reflect leave status and ensure appropriate diary documentation exists.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


·         High school diploma

·         2+ yrs. related experience and strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail



·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Knowledge of system applications and Disability claims knowledge/working knowledge of FMLA/Disability/Leave procedures preferred

The salary range for applicants for this position is $45000.00.
