We are looking for a Product Review Actuary Sr. to join the Actuary Regional team. This role is responsible for conducting independent reviews of new and repriced insurance products across LATAM region. It ensures that all products meet profitability, risk, and compliance standards as defined by MetLife’s Product Development Process and Actuarial Practice Standards (MAPS). The position involves close collaboration with Product, Valuation and Risk teams to validate assumptions, models, and business cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Case Review:
  • Analyze and validate the completeness and consistency of business cases submitted by the Product Function.
  • Assess product design, pricing methodology, capital requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Model Validation:
  • Independently review pricing models to verify profitability metrics (e.g., IRR, VNB).
  • Perform regression testing and sensitivity analysis to assess model robustness and risk exposure.
• Assumption and Parameter Review:
  • Validate actuarial assumptions against best estimate assumptions provided by the Chief Actuary’s team.
  • Evaluate economic and product-specific parameters for appropriateness and documentation quality.
• Issue Log Management:
  • Document findings and discrepancies in an issue log.
  • Collaborate with the Product Function to resolve issues and ensure timely updates to models and business cases.
• Report Preparation and Sign-off:
  • Build comprehensive Product Review presentations summarizing findings, profitability assessments, and recommendations.
  • Present findings to Local and Regional Chief Actuaries.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science
• 1–3 years of experience in actuarial pricing, product development, or valuation.
• Strong understanding of life and health insurance products and actuarial modeling.
• Proficiency in Excel, actuarial modeling tools, and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a global, matrixed environment.
