Job Scope


The role plays a crucial role in overseeing the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes of data, ensuring data quality and availability for analysis. This position involves collaboration with business, other data scientists, analysts and IT teams to streamline data workflows and generate insightful reports.


Key Responsibilities


  • Work with business engagement leads, delivery leads, data scientists, visualization specialists to understand and elaborate business problems: design KPls (as appropriate), wireframes and/or define hypotheses for performing EDA
  • Understand data sources, assess data, work with business teams to develop ETL/ELT process, data treatment and data aggregation rules and accordingly clean, treat, aggregate & prepare data
  • Develop and test PowerBl dashboard, reports, scripts and/or develop & test machine learning models and/or perform exploratory data analysis
  • Develop SQL queries and stored procedures to support the dashboards and validate queries written by colleagues
  • Ensure continuous delivery and support for analytics-related solutions and new requirements.
  • Ensure End to End ETL operation.


Academic Qualification


  • M.Sc./B.Sc. in Computer Science or Communication Engineering from a reputed university


Relevant Experience


  • 2-5 years of experience in the field of data, analytics and/or Business Intelligence


Functional Competencies


  • Hands-on experience with:

     

    i. Visualization tools such as PowerBl

    ii. ETL tools such as Informatica, shell scripting, Azure Synapse Analytics


    iii. Advanced SQL and query optimization: relational databases, big data, Azure Data Lake environments


    iv) Data models like Star Schema, Snowflake schema 


  • Prior experience of working in teams involving various data and visualization, data scientists, multi-geographical end users, multi-functional teams

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Problem-solving skills
