The Client Services Consultant is responsible for providing administrative support and customer service to large group benefits clients across the United States. The Client Services Consultant role is a dynamic and rewarding position that offers significant opportunities to expand business acumen, deepen industry expertise, strengthen consultative problem-solving capabilities, and develop strong client relationship management skills.
As a key customer-facing role, it serves as a cornerstone in delivering exceptional service, driving customer satisfaction, supporting operational excellence, and contributing to the overall success of MetLife and our customers.
- Overall accountability for: customer requests, leading projects, providing alternative solutions, consults where appropriate, identifies possible plan design alternatives, acts as a liaison between the customer and internal MetLife teams and collaborates for problem troubleshooting and resolution.
- Provides exceptional customer service to support ongoing customer delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Leads, participates, and drives resolutions where applicable in both customer- and internal-facing presentations and meetings.
- Participates in strategy meetings, establishes specific processes and reports, provides demonstrations, reviews contract documents, creates process manuals, inputs, and ensures accurate input of data in MetLife systems.
- Develops agenda and presentation materials for customer meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years business experience or a minimum of 5 years business experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong project management. skills including problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking and decisiveness.
- Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately and remain flexible.
- Prior experience in insurance benefits.
- Higher Education.
- Experience managing large group benefits clients.
The expected salary range for this position is $64,800 - $99,300. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
