Role Value Proposition:
The Service Financials team within the Technology Business Management Office (TBMO) drives transparency, accountability, and strategic insight into global IT spending. Through a structured chargeback model aligned to our Service Catalog, and grounded in industry‑standard taxonomy and benchmarking, the team enables business leaders to make informed decisions that optimize the value of IT investments.
The Service Consultant plays a critical role in managing and analyzing the chargeback model for the Asia, EMEA, and Latin America regions. The role strengthens Transfer Pricing engagement with internal customers, enhancing transparency, governance, and execution related to regional and Transfer Pricing quarterly cycles, as well as the annual planning process.
The role emphasizes an automation, and AI‑first mindset, with a focus on improving efficiency, data quality, and scalability across service financial and TBM processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial review meetings and deliver executive‑ready insights on service consumption, trends, and forecasts.
- Prepare and manage monthly financial reporting packages to support accurate forecasting, planning, and decision‑making.
- Drive annual planning and support multi‑year financial models aligned to service mix, budgets, and business objectives.
- Analyze financial and operational data to inform service investment decisions, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate financial and TBM processes to improve efficiency, data quality, and scalability.
- Leverage automation, analytics, or AI‑enabled capabilities, where appropriate and governed, to enhance service financial reporting and insights.
- Enforce controls and ensure accuracy and integrity of IT chargeback and Transfer Pricing models.
- Communicate chargeback and Transfer Pricing methodologies clearly to stakeholders across regions and functions.
- Partner with Corporate Tax and Corporate Finance to support global funding strategies, planning cycles, and new business engagements.
- Support Transfer Pricing audits, regulatory disclosures, and financial reporting requirements.
- Deliver regional and U.S. technology expense forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation, and leadership reporting.
- Support process standardization, service cost modeling, and value measurement frameworks across the organization.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required Skills:
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in financial reporting within a large public or private sector environment.
- Strong background in accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience in Technology Business Management (TBM), including application of TBM taxonomy across technology domains (applications, infrastructure, and operational support).
- Proven ability to lead financial review discussions and translate complex financial data into clear, executive‑ready insights.
- Demonstrated automation‑ and AI‑oriented mindset, focused on reducing manual effort, improving data quality, and increasing scalability of financial and TBM processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills with consistent delivery against deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working across global regions and time zones.
Preferred Skills:
- Financial modeling and multi‑year forecasting experience.
- Experience with the Apptio platform or similar TBM / cost transparency tools.
- Experience identifying manual or repetitive processes and driving automation or AI‑assisted improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, or service cost management.
- Exposure to AI‑enabled analytics, automation platforms, or low‑code tools applied in a finance or TBM context.
- Experience supporting Transfer Pricing audits, regulatory disclosures, or tax‑related financial reporting.
