The Opportunity

The Product Owner, Disability Migrations ART is responsible for delivering successful migration of disability reporting and claims capabilities from legacy systems to MetLife’s Catalyst platform within U.S. Group Benefits. Guided by our purpose—always with you building a more confident future—this role plays a key part in ensuring seamless customer transitions and improved digital experiences.


In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, claims operations, and technology teams to define requirements, support multiple concurrent customer migrations, and ensure solutions are delivered effectively. You will also work directly with customers to validate requirements, support testing, and ensure successful implementation and post-migration outcomes. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead backlog refinement and create features and user stories to support migration and future enhancements
  • Oversee team priorities and ensure alignment with business goals across multiple agile teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with legacy system teams, Catalyst teams, operations, and customer-facing teams
  • Manage multiple customer migrations simultaneously, including testing, validation, and stakeholder sign-off
  • Develop requirements, identify risks, and plan solutions to ensure successful migration and customer experience 

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience or knowledge in Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement and sprint execution
  • 5+ years of experience with data and/or reporting tools, using tools such as Excel or Power BI to support analysis and decision-making
  • 10+ years of total experience in technology delivery, insurance claims management, or customer relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives 

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery environments
  • Experience as a Product Owner, including writing and refining features and user stories
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Cognos or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with insurance, disability products, or claims management systems (e.g., Fineos)
  • Experience supporting customer-facing implementations, migrations, or testing efforts

 

The expected salary range for this position is $78,000 - $104,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
