Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) provides guaranteed income to individuals in a predictable and low risk way and helps companies reduce their risk and remain financially strong. The RIS business, one of the largest U.S. segments in MetLife, has a wide variety of risk solutions, investment, and annuity-type products.

Job Location: Virtual within a commutable distance of Tampa FL office.

In office once a month for meetings

 


The Opportunity 

The Senior Administrator will perform a variety tasks around death processing for Retirement and Income Solution customers. The administrator is responsible for collaborating with internal customers on requests for Death notifications and Abandon Property.

·         Senior Administrator will Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.

·         Senior Administrator will adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards

 

Additional Responsibilities

 

·         Perform complex operational and administrative tasks with minimal supervision.

·         Apply sound judgment and product knowledge to resolve intricate issues and customer escalations.

·         Execute high-value financial transactions with precision and timeliness.

·         Uphold rigorous standards for data accuracy and integrity.

·         Analyze and resolve discrepancies using initiative and experience.

·         Handle high-priority internal and external customer escalations effectively.

·         Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, third-party administrators, and business partners.

·         Respond to requests for information from audits, call centers, and other internal teams.

·         Ensure timely and accurate communication of relevant data.

·         Review and approve transactions processed by peers (if assigned approval responsibility).

·         Ensure compliance with internal controls and standards.

·         Lead or contribute to special projects assigned by management.

·         Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

 

 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications) 

 

  •  1+ year Claims experience 
  • High School diploma


What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

 

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Bachelor’s  degree
  • 5+ yrs. related experience
  • Proficient oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization.
  • Moderate knowledge of group products, services and systems.
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus.

·    Experience supporting or leading change initiatives. 

The expected salary range for this position is $41,600 - $55,100. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
