The Product Owner – Claims & Servicing Platforms is responsible for owning and driving the end-to-end delivery of vendor-enabled capabilities that support MetLife’s Supplemental Health products (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and related offerings) across the United States. This role ensures seamless execution of core processes including group setup, certificate issuance, claims adjudication, and member servicing through a strategic partnership.

You will directly shape how work is planned, prioritized, and delivered, ensuring vendor outcomes align with product strategy, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This is a high-impact opportunity to modernize processes, enhance data-driven decision making, and unlock efficiencies through AI and automation.
- Lead end-to-end product ownership of vendor-delivered capabilities across core processes such as group setup, certificate issuance, claims adjudication, and call center servicing
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring accountability for delivery, evolution of operational capabilities, and continuous improvement in quality, timeliness, and scalability
- Manage product updates and regulatory changes across states and products, ensuring the vendor accurately implements enhancements and maintains compliance
- Develop data-driven insights and leverage AI-enabled tools to improve vendor performance tracking, operational efficiency, and decision-making
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendor teams to ensure systems, processes, and data exchanges are effectively implemented, tracked, and continuously optimized
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of demonstrated experience in product management and vendor management with ownership of delivery outcomes
- Proven ability to lead third-party/vendor teams, including defining requirements, prioritizing work, and holding partners accountable to execution and results
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and capabilities (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve product delivery, analyze data, and drive operational efficiencies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements
- 10 years of experience in insurance, employee benefits, or financial services, with familiarity in supplemental health products or claims operations
- Background working within vendor-supported operating models, particularly across claims adjudication, policy/certificate generation, or servicing functions
- Experience working in Agile or structured delivery environments, including backlog prioritization and delivery planning
- Knowledge of AI, automation, or digital capabilities applied to claims processing, servicing, or operational efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, drive performance metrics, and enhance vendor accountability and outcomes
The expected salary range for this position is $107,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
