Role Value Proposition:

The Lead Engineer for content management platforms provides technical expertise for multiple business-critical IT platforms to include WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, FileNet, Business Automation Workflow, Content Navigator, Content Server and IBM Cloud Pak technologies. The role will work in partnership with management and is responsible for developing and driving the strategic evolution of the supported technologies, ensuring the infrastructure is highly reliable, available, and secure. The role will participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new products, applying knowledge of emerging technologies for adoption into the enterprise. The role will also represent the Portal and ECM domain in relevant currency, security, and automation efforts.

 

Success in this role requires experience with IBM Cloud Pak technologies and/or supporting applications in a containerized environment (OpenShift, Kubernetes). The Lead Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide content management platforms. Job duties consist of planning, designing and implementing our content management infrastructure to include operational processes and procedures. You’ll collaborate closely with application development partners, technology vendors and management in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

Required: 

  • Undergraduate degree or 6 years of equivalent IT experience
  • Working knowledge in Linux, Python, shell scripting & application server administration.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing large, shared platform technologies within a global company.
  • Effective organizational and cultural skills to drive and implement major engineering efforts.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive partnerships with peers, customers, leadership, and partners.

 

Preferred:

  • Suggested 6+ years of experience in an IT function with expert knowledge of enterprise content management platforms, including IBM FileNet, OpenText Content Server and IBM Cloud Pak technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

The salary range for applicants for this position is $103,300 - $137,700.
