An outstanding growth opportunity exists for a candidate with a finance background to join the growing Derivatives Middle Office. The Derivatives Analyst will work in trade processing/operations, handling confirmations, allocations, and reconciliation. The role not only involves contributing to daily operations but also improve the existing processes with new initiatives and projects. Responsibilities are integrated into a collaborative team environment that promotes self-development and team success.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide support for Domestic and International derivative trading desks.
  • Perform daily confirmation, allocation, and reconciliation for the firm’s derivatives executions throughout the trade life cycle.
  • Maintain relationships between derivatives and associated hedged items for legal hedge effectiveness.
  • Set up and maintain derivative instruments within MII’s platforms and databases.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with front office, risk management, settlements, and technology teams.
  • Monitor and update all the index fixings, calendars and all relevant trade specifications.
  • Assist in month-end trade reconciliation and reporting, ensuring timely generation of all the necessary reports.
  • Provide assistance on the Collateral and Derivatives Settlement process as needed.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 0-2 years of experience within derivatives operations
  • Understanding of financial markets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA, are required
  • Adherence to high standards of business ethics, conduct, and behavior
  • Proper work authorization for the country where the position is located, without requiring relocation assistance, is necessary
  • Must be legally authorized to work; Metlife will not sponsor H1-B visas.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience with Murex and Blackrock Aladdin systems is a plus

The salary range for applicants for this position is 60900 - 81200.
