Overview

The Small Business Analysts will partner with the assigned sales team to drive growth in the U100 markets focusing on supporting our Small Business Solutions (SBS) and broader U100 initiatives. Will act as an U100 market specialist, playing a crucial role in enhancing our small business operations through comprehensive analysis, strategy and the implementation of advanced solutions tailored to brokers, GA’s and SMBs. This position reports to the Region DWS Director and works closely with Account Executives in the U100 segment.


Key Responsibilities

                     Sales Execution: Assist sales team in building expertise in U100 and SBS platform. Conduct training for aligned sales partners to increase knowledge of MetLife’s U100 and SBS offerings.

                     Sales Consultation: Advise the sales team on value added strategies to optimize their U100 business with intermediaries and customers

                     Sales Growth: Assist sales team to increase revenue growth from in force customers and renewals.

                     Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis on small business metrics to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.

                     Reporting: Generate detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations that highlight the performance and needs of brokers, GA’s and SMB clients, communicating findings to key stakeholders and leadership.

                     Process Improvement: Assess current processes and workflows specific to SBS/U100, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

                     Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including AE, underwriting, and operations to align analysis with SBS/U100 goals.

                     Project Management: Lead or support key projects aimed at improving U100/SBS, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

                     Technological Integration: Utilize advanced software and tools to streamline processes for SBS/U100 and improve accuracy.

                     Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues affecting SBS/U100 through strategic thinking and innovative solutions.

                     Sales Preparation & Positioning: Contract evaluation, financial analysis and overcoming competition

                     Renewal Preparation & Positioning: Cycle Management, data gathering, plan change, add coverage bundling and offer

                     Executes productivity tasks, focuses on professional growth and development

                     Reviews reports, conducts analysis, and works to correct all errors resulting from failed process rules, bad data requirements or file layouts.  May require working with customers and partners to change data protocols or processes.

                     Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Experience

                     Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business, sales, data analytics, or a related field

                     Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities.

                     Knowledge: Understanding of business processes and financial principles, especially those relevant to brokers, GAs and SMBs

                     The ability to obtain (if not currently in possession of) a Life, Accident and Health License within 90 days of employment. Must remain up to date with continuing education requirements to maintain licensing.

  •        Active life, health and P&C insurance licenses

Preferred Experience

                     BA/BS Degree highly preferred in business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

                     Experience using CoPilot to identify sales opportunities.

  • The primary location for this role can be located within the following regional sales offices: Chicago, IL; Houston, TX, Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Kansas City, MO; and Irvine; CA
