Sales & Use Tax Responsibilities
Support ongoing U.S. Sales & Use Tax compliance, including preparation and review of monthly and quarterly filings, accruals, reconciliations, and high‑value transaction reviews.
Perform detailed analysis of transaction data to ensure proper taxability determination, accrual accuracy, and reconciliation completeness.
Prepare data extracts, detailed reconciliations, and written explanations to support internal reviews and audit defense requirements.
Support Sales & Use Tax audits, including reverse audits, refund claims, responses to information requests, and coordination with stakeholders.
Support ERP and process transformation initiatives, including testing activities, validation, and Alteryx workflow rebuilds, as required.
Premium Tax Responsibilities
Prepare monthly premium and municipal tax accruals in alignment with statutory premium data.
Support premium tax provision processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of underlying data and calculations.
Prepare and/or coordinate state and municipal premium tax filings and payments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines.
Support ERP implementation activities, including testing and workflow support, as needed.
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Chartered Accountant or
MBA from a reputed institution, preferably with a specialization related to Taxation, Finance, or Accounting
Experience (In Years)
8–10 years of experience in U.S. Indirect Taxation, with a preferred work experience in Sales & Use Tax
Proven experience supporting tax compliance, accruals, reconciliations, and audit interactions
Technical Skills
Strong technical expertise in Indirect Tax, preferably in U.S. Sales & Use Tax and Premium Tax
Hands‑on experience in tax compliance execution, including filings, accruals, and reconciliations
Experience supporting tax provisions and accrual execution
Strong data handling, reconciliation, and analytical skills
Ability to support audit defense, including preparation of documentation and explanations
