The Post-Issue Policy Change Specialist works collaboratively within a team, utilizing the latest technology to manage an assigned caseload of routine to moderately complex cases from investigation through resolution. This role performs core processing and administrative functions within the business unit, which may include providing day-to-day client services and administrative support, responding to customer requests, executing significant financial transactions accurately and promptly, and processing transactions at both individual and corporate account levels.

Location:  Must live within a commutable distance of the Oriskany, NY, Tampa, FL, Bloomfield, CT Cary, NC, Aurora, IL, Bridgewater, NJ, Omaha, NE, Warwick, RI, Clark Summit, PA, San Juan, PR office

 

Once a month in office for meetings 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Virtual roles predominately work from a home office with periodic visits to the assigned GCSO office as needed for team events, meetings, training, business continuity, etc.
  • Processes intermediate to moderately complex non-financial transactions and basic financial transactions.
  • Explains all decisions made on policy changes or issues and provides detailed supportive documentation.
  • Responds to basic to complex inquiries, resolves simple to complex problems. 
  • Performs research and analytical work to provide accurate, timely, and suitable responses to inquiries. 
  • Follows through as necessary to finalize any changes resulting from completed transactions. 
  • Partners with other business units to ensure successful implementation of corporate initiatives. 
  • Other related duties as assigned or required.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required: 

  • New hires should live a commutable distance from a MetLife office
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years of business-related experience

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of insurance experience
  • Strong knowledge of company operations, insurance products, lines of business, relevant regulations, and administrative systems.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service.

 

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is $41,600 - $55,100. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
