Role Value Proposition:
Portfolio Financials under the Portfolio Financials Management Office provides role in guiding U.S Application teams in financial management, portfolio set up, monthly reporting, and forecasting. This team interacts with a large, diverse program teams and helps to establish/implement processes to ensure alignment with industry best practices as it relates to portfolio financials. Drives improvements in planning, forecasting, and reporting to help deliver on financial commitments to the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provides oversight, analysis, reporting coordination and facilitation across multiple portfolios and/or projects.
· Ensure all financial and operational inputs are appropriately accounted for in the proper periods and that budgets/forecasts reflect the most accurate information available.
· Establish and maintain working relationships with GTO Finance, US Application Development teams to communicate financial reporting deliverables and drive the completion.
· Evaluates US Application development portfolio and projects, highlights risks and opportunities, and assists in initiatives to close gaps to financial plan.
· Serves as financial reporting lead for PPM team by disseminating information, coordinating variance explanations, and monitoring progress for initiatives.
· Participates in teams and provides input to decisions regarding portfolio governance, best practices and tool utilization.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience in a public or private company environment with 4+ years financial reporting
- Background in accounting and financial reporting
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Must be able to communicate complex and strategic information clearly and effectively
- Must meet established deadlines on a continual basis
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly proficient in financial reporting systems
- Support reporting and analysis requirements for financial reports and disclosures
