The Opportunity

The Analyst will be an investment professional supporting the PABF team in the origination, execution, and management of primarily investment grade asset-based finance investment opportunities across a wide universe of industries and sectors.  The Analyst will also support administrative, marketing, and data projects related to the PABF team.  The role provides candidates with the opportunity to work and interact with various teams across MIM, including Corporates Infrastructure, Client Portfolio Management, Insurance Asset Management, Institutional Client Group, Sales Derivatives, Investment Operations, Legal, and Compliance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Execution: Support underwriting, financial analysis, investment memos, trade execution, and transaction closings; assist with Investment Committee materials
  • Diligence & Market Analysis: Prepare presentations, conduct market research, and review offering docs, research, and rating reports
  • Client & Issuer Engagement: Participate in roadshows, meetings, and due diligence sessions with issuers and sponsors
  • Structuring & Evaluation: Analyze legal structures and transaction frameworks with internal/external counsel guidance
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor deal performance, produce reporting for leadership, and support client investment requests

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math, or related field
  • Strong analytical, quantitative modeling, and writing skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-focused abilities
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts)
  • Team-oriented, motivated, adaptable, and positive mindset

Preferred Qualifications
  • CFA® charterholder
  • Advanced business or accounting degree
  • Experience with credit underwriting and /or illiquid structured private placements
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and Salesforce

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
