The Opportunity

This full-time position is responsible for providing administrative support the VP of Corporate Functions, VP of Data Science, and VP Strategy & Planning for the MetLife Data & Analytics organization. Position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and good judgement. This individual must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. The individual is expected to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high level of discretion and professionalism.  


Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Microsoft Outlook calendar, inbox, and key contacts.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings / conference calls; prepare related materials / correspondence; print materials.
  • Manage travel, expense reports, catering, meeting/events, distribution lists, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries for information and provide follow-up on requests to ensure resolution.
  • Handle confidential/sensitive information.
  • Assist in the preparation and/or coordination of presentations, reports and spreadsheets by preparing and editing text, slides and other materials.
  • Proactively prepare leaders for meetings, anticipating needs of the team on a daily basis
  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments, following through on issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide other general administrative assistance and project support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience as an Executive/Administrative Assistant supporting senior leaders (VP/SVP level)
  • Proven ability to manage complex calendars, prioritization, and competing demands across multiple executives
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to manage confidential/sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multiple senior executives within Technology, Data & Analytics, or similar functions
  • Advanced calendar strategy and executive time optimization capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and proactively manage executive workflows
  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations, materials, and communications
  • Experience coordinating complex travel, events, and cross-functional meetings (including hybrid/global teams)
  • Strong stakeholder management across senior leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Experience providing light project coordination or supporting strategic initiatives
  • Prior exposure to Financial Services or similarly regulated environments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $54,200 - $75,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
