The Opportunity 


The Software/ Platform Engineer II is responsible for supporting all Individual Business Operations systems, managing both minor and major enhancements, and leading the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business analysis skills to ensure the smooth operation of legacy systems.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • Technical Expertise:
    Serve as an Analyst Programmer on the AS/400 platform, utilizing COBOL, RPG, and CL languages to maintain and enhance legacy systems.

  • System Maintenance:
    Ensure the continuous operation and reliability of legacy systems. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise.

  • Operations Support:
    Provide ongoing support and maintenance for business operations, ensuring systems function effectively and efficiently.

  • Business Analysis:
    Act as a Business Analyst for small to medium enhancements. Collaborate closely with business heads to gather requirements and prepare comprehensive documentation that aligns with business needs.

  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and guide the IT support team in addressing user issues, promoting a collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

  • Documentation Review:
    Review and design documentation for system enhancements, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with AS/400 platforms and programming languages such as COBOL, RPG, and CL.
  • Strong background in legacy systems maintenance and operations support.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
