The center is integral to Global Technology and Operations with a with a focus to protect & build MetLife IP, promote reusability and drive experimentation and innovation. The Data & Analytics team in India mirrors the Global D&A team with an objective to drive business value through trusted data, scaled capabilities, and actionable insights. The operating models consists of business aligned data officers- US, Japan and LatAm & Corporate functions enabled by enterprise COEs- data engineering, data governance and data science
Role Value Proposition
MetLife Global Capability Center (MGCC) is looking for an experienced practitioner. This role is integral to US Business Data and Analytics organization. The role requires understanding of the requirements of any new informatica project, maintain, implement and enhance ETL platform requirements pertaining to informatica products. The individual is expected to work closely with managers to provide various platform related metrics (viz downtime, Platform Usages, Server details etc.). | |
Job Responsibilities | |
· Study various new data integration, governance, lineage, quality tool’s installation and configuration document received from the product team. Identify the prerequisite for their installation, upgradation, and accordingly build the environment. · Onboard complex ETL pipelines on to the platform after performing the proper due diligence of the business requirements and accordingly choose the right ETL tool to achieve the functionality · Work with ETL Administration implementation team to perform the various ETL admin jobs based on the Service now tickets (viz Connection creation, Assigning Permission, Folder creation, code migration etc. in PowerCenter, IDQ, DX/MFT, PWX). · Create Bigdata connections for Kerberos and Non-Kerberos authenticated clusters. · Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes or design changes for ETL jobs pertaining to PowerCenter and IDQ. Analyze long running jobs. · Implement PWX CDC for Oracle, UDB DB2 and Mainframe sources with 2 tier architecture. Should be conversant with PWX CDC restart ability ensuring no data loss. · Work with IT teams to understand the vulnerabilities of the various versions of ETL tool and plan upgrade for the same. · Lead soft development team, guide team and adhere to MetLife development standards · Should be conversant in performing the above ETL activity in both Linux and Windows platform
People Management · Manage a team of 5-10 people, perform people’s responsibilities: talent engagement, performance management. · Demonstrate thought leadership

Technical Skills | 1. 9+ years of development and delivery experience 2. 5+ years of leadership experience in delivery in informatica based solutions. 3. Experience in installation, upgradation, and configuration of various Informatica tools namely: PC/PWX/B2B/DX/MFT/DQ/EDC/IDMC/TDM/DVO/PMPC etc. 4. Experience in handling, analyzing long running process, CPU /Memory intensive process, providing solution for the same. 5. Should have worked on a ticketing model using any ticketing tool (eg : Service Now preferred) 6. Development and debugging Linux scripts for job scheduling, monitoring various server parameters etc. 7. Experience writing repository database queries, reading and understanding repository database queries, and performing data analysis on the repository data. |
Other Preferred Skills | 1. Experience with writing and debugging Python script. 2. Experience in developing Data Engineering/Integration pipelines. 3. Working experience in an AGILE environment. 4. Exposure of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. 5. Experience working on Enterprise data platform and data warehouse applications. |
