The Sales Area Leader is responsible for the activation and recruitment, training and development of a group of brokers both large and small within the Lisbon Area, more specifically the region South of Tejo River. The Sales Area Leader position is crucial to the prosperity and profitability of MetLife in Portugal, contributing to the increased coverage of MetLife product that help build a more confident future for our customers and business partners.

The Opportunity
The Sales Area Leader is responsible for activation, recruiting, training and the development of new business and leading the portfolio growth of brokers. This role is key at MetLife as the Channel is one of the main contributors of Metlife growth.
Success in this role matches talented salespeople who naturally display the following traits and skills: positive energy, focus and persistency mind set and methodology. It also requires a person that feels enthusiastic by the success of their brokers from engaging into business with MetLife and that really enjoys working in a Face-to-Face environment.
The Sales Area Leader is responsible for training and developing the brokerage distribution and will collaborate internally with key players to be successful in the role in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

- Lead a diverse team in terms of age, work experience, expectations
- Create an inclusive culture and success driven
- Oversee the Business of the channel
- Manage different KPI´s
- Develop strategic thinking, resilience and multi tasks capacity
- Coordinate 2 supervisors and 14 sales people
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- Business development sales professional
- Success track record of closing sales and growing market share
- Educated to Bachelor degree level
- Driving licence
- Good knowledge of Microsoft tools
- Spoken English and native Portuguese
