Job Scope

The incumbent will work in formulating financial plan and projections for MetLife Bangladesh, analyze financial numbers and provide meaningful insights to Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, various local and regional stakeholders to assist in taking business decisions. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing the country budgets and forecasts, uploading that into systems and conducting actual result analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in planning & projection process by collaborating closely with cross-functional partners
• Provide in-depth analysis of USGAAP results along with attribution walks and assist the FP&A Lead to prepare for monthly and quarterly business review meetings with regional stakeholders
• Coordinate the annual planning process and meet the deadline with respect to all deliverables.
• Provide meaningful business commentaries on plan/projected expenses versus actual analysis
• Communicate proactively on significant issues/trends to FP&A Lead with concise recommendations
• Review business cases and recommend management in line with strategic priorities.
• Conduct specials projects as required and assigned by senior management

Educational Requirements

• Graduation and Post-graduation in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA/CMA are required

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in relevant fields like; Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Accounting & Reporting, Management Accounting etc.

• Strong interpersonal & communications skill
• Strong reasoning and analytical ability to understand the end-to-end process
• Ability to work under pressure and remain focused
• Proficiency in Accounting, IFRS/US GAAP Standards, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of corporate tax
