İş Tanımı ve Gereklilikler
This position will assume ownership of the operational execution and governance coordination of MetLife Japan’s Responsible Use of AI (RUAI), Japan AI Review (JAIR) process, Data Governance activities, and other relevant support from Data and AI Governance. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end Data and AI Governance activities, facilitating reviews across multiple control functions, supporting business owners through approval processes, maintaining governance documentation and standards, and ensuring successful alignment between local regulatory requirements and global Data and AI Governance frameworks.
AI adoption and enterprise data usage across MetLife Japan continue to accelerate, with increasing numbers of AI-powered and data-driven business initiatives. MetLife Japan has established the Japan AI Review process as the formal approval body for AI solutions to address local regulatory requirements, risk management expectations, and governance obligations, while Data Governance remains essential to ensure data quality, lineage, stewardship, policy adherence, and appropriate use of enterprise data assets. These governance processes are required to support safe, reliable, and scalable business transformation before solutions proceed through the global RUAI and deployment lifecycle.
Without this position:
- AI use cases will experience delays in obtaining required approvals before pilot or production deployment.
- Business teams will have reduced support navigating complex RUAI and Japan AI Review requirements.
- Data Governance activities related to data quality, lineage, stewardship, and policy compliance may be delayed, creating additional operational and regulatory risk.
- Control function coordination would become fragmented, increasing review cycle times and administrative overhead.
- The organization’s ability to scale AI adoption safely and responsibly would be hindered, directly impacting productivity improvements and innovation objectives.
Maintaining this role enables efficient governance reviews, faster AI deployment, stronger Data Governance execution, improved regulatory compliance, and continued support for MetLife Japan’s broader AI and data transformation agenda. The position acts as an accelerator for business modernization while ensuring appropriate risk management, data stewardship, and enterprise governance controls remain in place.
This request is a direct backfill of an existing position and does not increase organizational headcount. The budget allocation already existed under the current operating model and supported a mandatory governance function.
