Our company is currently undergoing a significant transformation across the EMEA region. We operate six regional data centers that play a key role in supporting our test environments. Historically, each region has managed its own processes and infrastructure independently. However, we are now moving toward a more unified, global operating model. The goal of this transformation is to strengthen our internal knowledge base and improve collaboration between regional and global teams. By consolidating expertise and standardizing our practices, we aim to increase efficiency and reduce duplication of effort. This shift will also allow us to provide more consistent and scalable support worldwide. This transformation also focuses on improving collaboration with our internal business partners and responding more effectively to their needs.
The Opportunity
You will primarily play a crucial role in safeguarding the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and all associated asset data within EMEA region. This position is pivotal for ensuring that IT assets, including hardware, software, and network components are meticulously tracked, maintained, and aligned with both business and IT objectives. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the specialist supports IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, regulatory compliance, security and the overall efficiency of IT operations.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- CMDB Administration: Own and maintain the configuration management database, guaranteeing data quality, completeness, and consistency. Develop and oversee processes for regular audits and reconciliation of configuration items (CIs).
- Asset Data Management: Manage the collection, tracking, and reporting of all IT assets throughout their lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Process Development: Design, implement, automate and continuously optimize CMDB and asset management processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices and organizational policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, procurement, security, and compliance teams to ensure asset data supports business needs, regulatory requirements, and risk management strategies.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports detailing asset status, lifecycle events, compliance, and configuration changes. Present findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives for enhancing data quality, automation, and process efficiency within asset and configuration management.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance, training, and support to staff regarding asset management and CMDB usage, policies, and best practices.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT asset management, configuration management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles, particularly Configuration and Asset Management.
- Hands-on experience with CMDB automation and IT asset management tools from discovery through the entire lifecycle (e.g., ServiceNow or equivalent platforms).
- Exceptional analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team settings.
- Relevant certifications (such as ITIL Foundation, Certified Asset Management Professional) are preferred.
