The Team You Will Join 

We are seeking an experienced IT System Analyst to join our dynamic IT team within MetLife Egypt one of the leading Multinational life and health Insurance companies in the world.


The Opportunity

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our business processes and IT systems continue to meet the evolving needs of the business and project stakeholders. This position involves working closely with end-users, guiding them through system discovery, requirements gathering, and design phases, as well as overseeing configuration, testing, and user support for new system implementations or functionalities.

The successful candidate will provide internal customers with optimal solutions that enhance system usage, introduce new functionality, identify process improvement opportunities, troubleshoot problems, and offer continuous support. Familiarity with core technologies such as Java stack, .NET, React, React Native, and AS400 systems is essential. In-depth knowledge of UML and architecture diagrams is required, and experience in Agile methodologies is highly preferred.



How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing ones.
    • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, utilizing UML diagrams and other architectural tools to visualize processes and systems.
  2. Systems Design & Configuration:
    • Guide end-users through the discovery, requirements, and design phases for new system implementations or updates.
    • Lead configuration efforts where applicable, ensuring systems meet business requirements.
    • Create and maintain system architecture diagrams that detail key design components.
  3. Testing & Implementation:
    • Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, ensuring alignment with business expectations.
    • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), addressing any issues or gaps identified during testing.
  4. User Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Provide ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the systems and functionalities.
    • Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues, minimizing operational disruptions.
  5. Process Improvement & Optimization:
    • Continuously assess and suggest process improvements and system optimizations to streamline business operations.
    • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose solutions that could enhance business efficiency.
  6. System Rollouts & New Functionality:
    • Lead the rollout of new functionalities or systems, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
    • Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions as needed.
  7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to deliver on system objectives.
    • Serve as the key liaison between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals and deliverables.
    • Collaborate in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge and experience with systems using Java stack, .NET, React, React Native, and AS400.
  • UML & Diagrams: Proven ability to create and interpret UML and system architecture diagrams to visualize complex processes and systems.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile teams.
  • Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, Communication Skills.


What Can Give You an Edge (Skills)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational corporation, preferably in the life and medical insurance industry.
  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies are a plus (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile certifications, etc.).
