- Lead a team of finance professionals in areas such as Reinsurance Administation, Reinsurance Regulatory Reporting, Financial systems maintenance, Investment Operations, Accounting and Closing. Monitor and deliver on agreed service level metrics.
- Build strong connects with stakeholders and manage expectations through Monthly/Quarterly business reviews
- Handle escalations, analyze root cause and recommend changes in workflows, procedures, service levels based on stakeholder expectations. Manage and prioritize issues and communicate mitigating actions to management
- Manage a span of 150-200 employees which will involve:
- Goals setting in alignment with stakeholders at the beginning of the year
- Performance management including mid year and year end appraisals for all Direct reports and extended teams
- Understand and adress team issues/concerns through skip sessions and one on ones
- Drive retention measures and succession planning
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members to enable them to improve their performance
- Manage staffing requirements including 'Training in Class'
- Recommend a regimen to support process trainings for the processes getting migrated
- Work with L&D team to develop training programs for employees
- Focus on continuous improvement projects and lead short/long term projects. Lead, innovate and implement best industry practices and adopt latest technologies such as AI etc. and other Finance tools
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of strategy around expansion of COE and Shared Services
- Other finance and administrative duties as required
Education - CA/CPA with accounting, reporting background and specialization in finance is required.
Experience - 18 years of post qualification experience. Candidate from financial services or insurance industry will be preferred. Experience in Finance areas such as Accounting, Reconciliation, Reporting etc.
· Knowledge and Skills: Relevant Financial systems and tools knowledge, knowldege of US GAAP and IFRS, knowledge of Reinsurance products and accounting preferred, Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, Eye for detail and adaptable to change, strong facilitation skills with the ability to build professional working relationships with senior management, stakeholders and functional area representatives.
