Role Value Proposition
The Senior Manager – Workday Allocations will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and deploying enterprise cost allocation frameworks within Workday Financials. This role partners
with Finance, Corporate Accounting, and Technology teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and policy‑aligned allocation methodologies supporting business and financial reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities but not limited to
Design and build Workday allocation definitions and group sets, including:
Copy and reclass allocations
Spread‑evenly methodologies
Pro‑rate methodologies aligned to business drivers
Configure and support intercompany allocations, leveraging Workday automated balancing functionality.
Set up and maintain statistical accounts and allocation drivers (e.g., headcount, volume metrics, square footage) to support pro‑rate allocations.
Load and manage allocation inputs and statistical drivers using EIBs.
Review and analyze pro forma allocation results during testing cycles and validate outcomes prior to go‑live.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve allocation configuration or data issues.
Partner with Finance stakeholders and Technology teams to translate business requirements into effective Workday allocation solutions.
Support project phases including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS, tech, or a related field
Experience supporting Workday implementation programs
Background in Finance Technology or financial transformation initiatives
Experience operating in multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments
Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
Experience (In Years) 8–10 years of experience in Workday Financials, with hands‑on focus on allocations
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of cost allocation and intercompany accounting concepts
Experience configuring statistical drivers and allocation methodologies in Workday
Hands‑on experience using EIBs for financial or statistical data loads
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and validation skills
Ability to work independently in a global, cross‑functional environment
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
