The Opportunity
The Investments Finance Accountant Jr. is responsible for supporting accurate investment accounting, reconciliation, and control activities across multiple asset classes and geographies. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective back-office operations supporting global investment portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
• Record and review investment transactions, including purchases, sales, maturities, and income accruals.
• Perform daily and monthly valuation of investment portfolios, ensuring accurate pricing and market value alignment.
• Execute and oversee reconciliations between front‑office systems, investment sub‑ledgers, custodians, and the general ledger.
• Support month‑end and period‑close activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and financial controls.
• Monitor and resolve breaks related to positions, cash, income, and valuations across systems and external parties.
• Prepare and validate financial and regulatory reports related to investment portfolios.
• Coordinate regulatory filings and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit standards.
• Collaborate with Investment Operations, Portfolio Managers, and external custodians/banks to investigate discrepancies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and automation.
• Support ad‑hoc analysis and reporting requests from management.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (completed or in progress), supporting investment accounting and reporting activities.
• 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or back‑office operations, preferably within financial services.
• Experience performing reconciliations (cash, positions, income) and supporting accounting close processes.
• Basic understanding of financial instruments such as fixed income, equities, and investment funds.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) to support reconciliations and reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage high‑volume data with accuracy.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with auditors and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced level of English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Suggested 2+ years of experience in the insurance, asset management, or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of GAAP / IFRS accounting principles related to investments.
• Familiarity with ERP or investment systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, or investment sub‑ledgers.
• Prior exposure to portfolio valuation processes and market pricing controls.
• Experience with process automation or data tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Python.
