The AVP, Head of Corporate Security EMEA is responsible for leading and advancing MetLife’s corporate security strategy, risk management, and incident response across the EMEA region. This role is critical to safeguarding MetLife’s people, facilities, operations, and reputation while enabling business continuity and growth across a complex, evolving risk landscape.

Guided by our purpose—always with you, building a more confident future—and aligned with MetLife’s New Frontier strategy focused on stronger growth, attractive returns, and all‑weather performance, this role offers the opportunity to shape a modern, intelligence‑led security program at regional and enterprise scale. The successful leader will partner closely with senior business and functional stakeholders, integrate geopolitical and operational risk insights, and influence decisions that directly support MetLife’s business objectives across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Corporate Security function across EMEA, providing strategic and operational oversight for people safety, workplace security, travel security, and business disruption risk.
  • Create and implement regional security strategies, standards, and programs aligned with global corporate security objectives.
  • Oversee intelligence‑led risk assessment, threat analysis, incident response, and crisis management activities across the region.
  • Manage relationships with senior regional leaders, business partners, and external stakeholders to ensure security risks are clearly understood and appropriately mitigated.
  • Develop a scalable, technology‑enabled security operating model that leverages data, intelligence, and global matrixed teams.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional efforts with HR, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Cyber, and Resilience teams, as well as external partners and vendors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field and demonstrated ability to lead enterprise‑level security risk management programs in complex organizations.
  • Experience with intelligence‑led security frameworks and risk assessment methodologies, applying them to inform business decisions and incident response.
  • Strong executive communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain security risk and mitigation strategies in clear business terms.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism, coupled with the confidence to hold positions and navigate challenging stakeholder conversations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in corporate security, risk management, or related leadership roles within large, complex, or highly regulated organizations.
  • Experience partnering with global or regional leadership teams, including briefing senior executives during incidents or crises.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed, global environment, leveraging technology and innovation to scale impact.
  • Strategic, adaptable leadership style, with comfort operating in ambiguity and driving change in evolving risk environments.
