Position: VP, Reinsurance Solutions & Pricing

Location: Hamilton, Bermuda or New York, USA

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future:

Co-lead a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex insurance business, product, pricing and capital issues from strategy to execution. Skills and responsibilities for role include but are not limited to:

  • Support team to disrupt, improve and evolve ways of working when necessary.
  • Arrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realize their potential and support their long-term aspirations.
  • Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create reinsurance value propositions.
  • Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.
  • Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
  • Promote and encourage others to value difference when working in diverse teams.
  • Drive and take ownership for developing connections that help deliver what is best for our people and stakeholders.
  • Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships which add value to the firm.

Thought leadership and Education

  • Seen as a leader in the industry through publications, presentations and other industry events.
  • Proven expertise in creating and maintaining an internal technical education and development process to develop future reinsurance solutions talent.
  • Content creator for broad reinsurance education across the firm in partnership with other reinsurance leaders and corporate learning and development.

 

Team Leadership

  • Technical leadership of all global reinsurance solutions and pricing activities, both for direct, matrix and indirect associates.
  • Active participation and involvement in broader reinsurance team leadership globally.

 

Relationship Management

  • Ability to effectively manage complex external stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to communicate and document critical third-party relationships

 

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):

  • 15+ years of Leadership experience in complex Life and Pensions (re)insurance pricing and structuring.
  • Experience in global regulatory and capital frameworks – US NAIC, ICS, Bermuda, Solvency II.
  • Experience in M&A transactions for Life and Pensions.
  • Experience in complex financial structures and risk management in the life and pensions industry including ALM, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Tax.
  • Knowledge of the legal structure of reinsurance contracts.

 

What Will Give You an Edge (Additional Skills):

  • Proven experience in spearheading innovative strategies in reinsurance solutions, pricing methodologies, and market expansion.
  • International work experience with a strong understanding of global reinsurance markets, regulatory environments, and cross-border business dynamics.
  • Track record of leading strategic transformations, including new product development, portfolio optimization, or risk transfer solutions.
  • Strong relationships with global reinsurers, brokers, and regulatory bodies to navigate complex market landscapes effectively.

The salary range for applicants for this position is $234,100 - $312,100.
