Senior Product Marketing Manager

 

The preference for this role is hybrid (three days in the NYC or Bridgewater, NJ office) however, open to other commutable arrangements depending on candidacy. 


As a product marketer on the Group Benefits Employee Marketing team, you’ll develop and implement a comprehensive, end-to-end marketing strategy for one or more products to drive strong and profitable acquisitions, customer loyalty and retention. In this role, you’ll develop and own programs to strengthen our relationship with MetLife customers throughout their journey – driving value discovery, helping reduce churn and ultimately growing loyalty. To achieve results, you’ll collaborate and partner with teammates across the organization to strategize, build, test, deploy and optimize each stage of the customer journey.


You’ll be part of a team of product marketers managing the U.S. Group Benefits product portfolio within the global marketing organization. The Employee Product Marketing team is a new team that is committed to building deeper relationships with the end users of our products to drive business results.


Achieving results in this role requires product and/or integrated marketing experience, innovative thinking, strong relationship skills and the ability to lead a cross-functional team including product, sales & distribution, research & insights, claims, service, analytics and marketing operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leads the creation, communication and documentation of overarching marketing strategy
    and campaign vision by product.
  • Partners with product team and various other stakeholders to align marketing strategies, tactics and priorities with business objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Partners closely with global marketing activation leads to prioritize campaign builds, tests and activation strategies as well as resource allocation, pipeline management and capacity.
  • Works with customer experience team to build detailed user journeys to identify customer touchpoints and prioritize marketing areas of impact.
  • Acts as SME on product features, benefits, limitations and opportunities to define and communicate a compelling value proposition and reasons to believe (RTBs) for the product.
  • Collaborates with sales and distribution to build and support acquisition efforts and all ongoing engagement communications.
  • Briefs and partners with creative experts (agency partners and in-house specialists) to develop and build marketing concepts and assets to support multi-channel, multi-touch, integrated campaigns and communications.
  • Partners with research team to test value proposition/creative assets and translate learnings into go-to-market tactics.
  • Partners with analytics team to establish and evolve a learning agenda, establish a measurement plan and test/experimentation process and create a results dashboard to evaluate results/insights.
  • Ensures learnings are well communicated and integrated into future marketing efforts. Keeps teams up to date on development progress, risks and budget while documenting and communication change logs.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product and/or industry marketing roles. 
  • Understanding of a broad range marketing channels with a specific emphasis on digital and product marketing.
  • Deep understanding of relevant current business initiatives and challenges within financial services organizations.
  • Proven success effectively leading cross-functional teams, including product, sales, creative and others.
  • Superior written and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and working practices.
  • Ability to work well with geographically remote teams and lead through influence

The salary range for applicants for this position is 103,100 - 137,400.
