This position is maternity/parental cover.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Ensures complex legal services for branches of MetLife Europe/MetLife Europe Insurance in the Czech Republic 

·       Manage active and passive judicial agenda

·       Manage ADR agenda incl. Financial arbiter cases 

·       Cooperates on handling of complaints 

·       Manage criminal complaints agenda

·       Legal support for HR Dept. in labor related matters 

·      Handling of requests for cooperation from state authorities which are beyond the agenda of Operations

·       Ensures the proper management of execution proceedings

·       Cooperation on the collection of debts of the company

·       Manage legal reporting in the assigned tasks

·       Cooperates on the local and global projects with international legal aspect or EU regulation

·       Provides legal support for cooperation with insurance intermediaries.

·       In line with current need cooperates with relevant departments and project teams, provides legal support and advice across the whole company

·       Monitors changes in legislation and case law in the assigned tasks and provides legal support for the implementation across the company 

·       Communication and reporting with/to MetLife Regional Office and Home Office (USA) 

·       Commenting of internal company policies 

·       Reviewing contracts and other contractual documentation of the company

·       Reviewing policy documentation of the company (insurance conditions, insurance proposals, pre-contractual documentation, etc.)

·       Ensures contact with regulatory and administrative authorities in legal agenda

·       Cooperation with external legal counsels

·       Handling of the data box

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION: 

• ·       University Law Degree

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• ·       Knowledge of private and public law 
• ·       Knowledge of insurance law and insurance market
• ·       Professional, flexible and responsible approach to work and colleagues
• ·       Team player and agile work attitude
• ·       Focus on professional and personal growth and learning
• ·       Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English (C1)
• ·       Advanced PC user, MS Office user

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• ·       5+ years of experience as a Lawyer (either as in-house counsel or in the law firm)
• ·       Experience in the Insurance or financial market is an advantage
